Suggestion
Can we have more bike racks around Journal Square PATH station.
There are limited number of Bike Racks in Journal square.
The racks are overcrowded.
This leads to
- increase travel time for bikers
- damage to bike
- discourages people to bring bike

Note: I understand that PATH plaza is owned by Port Authority and is a separate entity from Jersey City.

Everyday it is becoming a hassle as there is no space in the racks to lock the bike and removing the bike from rack is becoming nightmare as rack over crowed with bikes. As bikers are doing good to the environment causing no pollution Please encourage bikers by putting more bike racks around Journal Sqare PATH station,
Thank you for reporting! We will investigate
Any update on this one?
Any update? Did the city reach out to Port Authority about this?
I do not know why this issue was assigned to the Division of Sanitation. I would have given it to the PATH Building Manager for escalation to PATH and/or Port Authority. Maybe Bank of America would like to support bike racks in conjunction with PATH support,

Apologies for the late response. I have been informed that there have been more racks installed since this was submitted. Can you report back as to the current condition?
I do not think they have installed more racks. Could you ask them where specifically they installed new racks?
The ones in front of Bank Of America were just replaced( new ones replacing old ones) No capacity was increased. I will upload some latest pics. The situation is exactly same.
My apologies for the delayed response on this. You are correct that bike racks were removed and replaced. However, the new bike racks were larger. If you have any pictures depicting bike overcrowding, I can pass to the Port Authority for further review.
