Resident came in w/ his partner and stated he had a complaint w/ his Doctor and is there is anything our office can assist.Resident was diagnosed with Hep C the first time was 10/2015. Then treated by Dr. Brahmbhatt , Gaurang Hoboken (201) 706-8490. Patient was was verified clean Hep C returns- 3/2016 Did blood test but not treatment Tested positive for Hep C It's now 7/7/16 Decline/ Appeal/ Approved ? Doctor went on vacation and didn't even prescribe medicine to the patient in the meantime waiting for approval from patients insurance Horizon Medicaid/ Medicare NJ health. the medicine that the patient didn't have is a 12 week medicine that the patient doesn't have and without it can make the patient worse. If patient was to seek another doctor the process would be drop his present doctor and change his insurance. Patient has had blood work so far 4 times including 7/6/16 . patient also states that at the office of his doctor blood work has gone missing. The RRC seek out other resources in the meantime to help this patient and the patient was given a printout of clinics he can visit. We asked do you want to presently seek another doctor and gave the patient time to think about it.
