This is has become a citywide issue that is effecting our quality of life. Weeds in tree pits and along sidewalks are the responsibility of each property owner. Some owners don't realize, others don't care. The solution solution is consistent messaging and enforcement. Let's run a PR campaign to communicate expectations and fine those who don't comply.

I actually personally cleaned this particular spot-- which had been derelict for years-- a few weeks ago. But Nick is right: The city is overrun by weeds.
